There are a few product attributes you SHOULD NOT edit on TikTok Shop as they are directly updated by Shopify while using SKU IQ.
The follow attributes are directly updated by Shopify and should not be edited on TikTok Shop. Editing these attributes on TikTok Shop will result in the edits being overwritten by any information on Shopify. Please edit these attributes on Shopify instead.
You can add videos, update the Brand information, fill in any required data (see this article on product certifications), and add any other optional fields.
Please note that TikTok Shop does not accept Unicode characters, so we only send product descriptions from Shopify in Plain Text.
If you would like to have different images, descriptions, etc. for the item on TikTok Shop than you do on Shopify, you can create a secondary item on Shopify and leave it as a draft item. This way it will not show up on your Shopify website, but you can still push it via SKU IQ to TikTok Shop.
