Overview
TikTok Shop recently changed their API so that many categories have additional information that needs to be added to those products prior to them being reviewed and then published. These categories include, but are not limited to, Electronics, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, Health & Beauty, Children's Items, and Baby Items.
This video explains what the error message is and what fields, attributes, and certification documents need to be added to TikTok Shop to upload these products.
Current Status
A fix has been released! The update, released 5/3/23, enables SKU IQ to recognize when items with requirements are pushed and to post those to TikTok Shop Seller Center as drafts. Visit the Draft tab under Manage Products in your seller center to add the mandatory field and certification information. Once all requirements are met, you can publish the items in TikTok Shop to start the review process. Items in Draft mode will auto update just like any other linked items in your SKU IQ products list.
