This article will guide you through configuring your shipping options and shipping template in TikTok Shop and ensure that Seller Shipping is selected.
What is a Shipping Template?
A shipping template is a pre-configured set of rules that determine how shipping and fulfillment are handled for orders. These templates play a crucial role in managing and streamlining the fulfillment process for online store owners. By defining shipping options, rates, and other parameters for products, shipping templates ensure consistency and efficiency. They offer multiple shipping options, provide real-time shipping rates, handle special cases, automate order processing, and provide transparency to customers. In doing so, they greatly contribute to improving customer satisfaction, saving time, and reducing headaches for online store owners.
How do I set up a Shipping Template in TikTok Shop?
To configure a shipping template, please follow these steps:
1. Access the seller center and navigate to Orders > Shipping options.
2. Look at Seller Shipping on the right and make sure it says "In use". If it does not, click the Select button at the bottom of the tile.

3. Click View details to go to shipping templates, or navigate there by going to Orders > Shipping Templates
4. Click on "+ Create" on the new page.
5. Specify "Standard shipping" as the template name and select the origin warehouse(s) that will use this template in the "Ship from" section. Also choose whether shipping will be priced based on weight or item quantity.
6. Select Standard, Express, or Economy shipping for this template. Take note of the fulfillment SLA for each as your store will be expected to operate within those expectations.
7. Set up the shipping fees for TikTok. You may set up multiple regions or just use one for all fulfillment areas.
It is advisable to set your shipping fees as closely as possible to your Shopify shipping rates in order to guarantee that your minimum Shopify shipping fees are covered
8. TikTok permits you to calculate rates based on a flat fee, product quantity, or weight.
If you choose to calculate based on weight, the weight ranges must be continuous and go up to 100lbs
9. Once the fees are configured, save the template and return to the Shipping options.
10. Verify Seller Shipping is enabled as described in step 2.
