Why Do I Need to Clear My TikTok Inventory Prior to Connecting to SKU IQ?

Due to one-way syncing, we cannot link products that already exist on TikTok Shop to Shopify.

TikTok Shop's syncing is only one-way - which means that data from your Shopify account will go to TikTok Shop, but we can only get order information back. This means that we are unable to connect existing TikTok Shop items back to Shopify.

Since this is the case, we ask you to clear your inventory on TikTok Shop so that we can start fresh and allow that syncing relationship to be formed through us so that TikTok Shop items will communicate with Shopify for any updates to pricing, descriptions, and inventory count.
