Why are my TikTok Shop Orders Showing Up with "NO CUSTOMER" as the Customer's Name in Shopify?

Due to TikTok Shop's strict guidelines for customer data privacy, we are unable to send the buyers name over to Shopify. However, we can create a default record for you!

TikTok Shop has very strict guidelines on what customer information they will allow SKU IQ (and thus Shopify) to access. While we can pull your customer's name into SKU IQ (so you can see them on the orders tab within the app), we cannot send that information over to Shopify per TikTok Shop's guidelines.

This does not mean you cannot fulfill the orders. Most merchants are able to do so without the customer's name populating over. Some merchants, however, use fulfilment systems that are dependent on a customer to be defined for each order. For merchants that have this requirement, we can generate a "Default Customer" record to allow orders to continue to flow through without a hitch!

Creating the "Default Customer" record will create a record containing the following information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address

Please note that Shopify does not allow SKU IQ to specify a billing address on orders that are already paid for (as they would be via TikTok Shop) and that Shopify will not allow us to define or specify a default address to our Default Customer record. Instead, Shopify will attach the 10 most recently shipped to addresses for all orders to this default customer. They will rotate out as needed.

🌟 If you need the Default Customer record turned on (as this is not the default configuration), please contact SKU IQ Support!
