Due to TikTok Shop and Shopify order requirements, SKU IQ has to redact some customer information when sending orders to Shopify, this article will explain what is redacted and where you can access the original information.
Why are all of my customer names "TikTok Order"?
In Shopify, it is mandatory to create a customer account for all orders originating from marketplaces like TikTok Shop, however, TikTok's policy does not allow contact information from their customers to be sent outside of their platform. To adhere to both platforms' guidelines, SKU IQ will generate a randomized email address and a customer called TikTok Order to attach to synced orders on Shopify. You can see an example of how a synced order will look on the image below:
It's important to note that this email is randomized and not real, emailing this address will not connect you to the client.
We acknowledge that this may seem unusual, but please be assured that this change is necessary to adhere to both company's policies.
Will this affect order fulfillment?
Not at all! All recipient "ship-to" information will be provided as usual. Once TikTok's 1-hour cancelation window is over, the Shipping address will be fully synced to the Shopify order, this includes the recipient's full name, complete US mailing address, and phone number.
How can I find the client's information in case I need to contact them?
To contact your client, first go to your TikTok Seller Center, in there select Orders on the left menu and then Manage Orders on the dropdown. In there, you will see all of your orders. Locate the client's order.
Once you've located your client's order, hover with your mouse over the order to see a green pop-up over the delivery option. In there, click the small arrow and then Contact buyer.
This will open a new window where can message your client directly through their TikTok app.
