This article contains information on how to upload your items to TikTok Shop after completing the initial setup with SKU IQ.
Overview
After the initial setup, you can migrate your Shopify products to TikTok, and this document will explain how to do so in explicit detail. There are 2 methods for uploading products: You can do so in batches of 50 or for individual products.
💡 Tip: *You can only migrate more then 10 items once you are enrolled on a paid plan.
Quick Navigation
Method 1: Bulk Uploads || Method 2: Individual Products Upload
Method 1: Bulk Uploads
As mentioned in the overview, when you perform bulk uploads to TikTok Shop, the maximum number of items you can send per batch is 50. It may take up to an hour to send all of the data, so please be patient before sending the next batch.
How To Bulk Upload:
1. Navigate to your Products page on your SKU IQ Dashboard2. You will want to use the Filter By drop down menu to select Online Only - this will pull up any products that have not been connected to TikTok Shop yet (the ones that are currently only listed on Shopify).
3. Select the products you would like to upload by either selecting the checkbox at the top of the page (this will select up to 50 products) or by selecting individual items with the checkboxes.
✅ Tip: If you have more than 50 items available to send to TikTok Shop, your inventory will show up in multiple pages. If you navigate away from this page, or go to the next page of products, it will deselect the items you have selected. Make sure to send your selected products to TikTok Shop before navigating away!
4. You'll notice an Actions button will come up once you have selected at least 1 item.
5. Clicking on the Actions button will give you a drop down option to Push to TikTok Shop
6. A confirmation pop-up will show you all the items you've selected and approximately how long it will take to finalize this product push, the you can click "Cool, do it!"
Our system will automatically categorize your items, if you feel like the category we chose is not ideal, you can edit that information directly on TikTok Shop and SKU IQ will update it's database to reflect that change.
If TikTok requires additional documentation to approve your product listing, the item will be sent to your draft section on the TikTok Seller Center, that way you'll have time to upload any necessary documents without generating demerits to your account. You can find more information on that in the following article:
What Kind of Documentation Do I Need to Provide TikTok Shop for Restricted Category Items?
TikTok can take up to 48 hours to review your product before approving or rejecting the listing, even in the case of a rejected listing, SKU IQ will still be syncing information with it so stock can keep being updated across both of your platforms.
You will know that the product(s) have been successfully uploaded to TikTok Shop when you see POS IDs on the variants for the items.
Method 2: Individual Product Upload
As mentioned in the overview, you can also push individual products. This is super easy to do, especially if you want to curate your TikTok Shop with a few products rather than all of your Shopify inventory.
How to Upload Individual Products:
1. Navigate to your products page on your SKU IQ dashboard.
2. You will want to use the Filter By drop down menu to select Online Only - this will pull up any products that have not been connected to TikTok Shop yet (the ones that are currently only listed on Shopify).
3. Click the individual product you'd like to send to TikTok Shop.
4. You'll see toggles on the lefthand side of the page under Where. Toggle TikTok Shop to green and then click Save Changes to start the upload of the product.
4. It may take a few minutes to upload the products themselves. You will know that the upload was successful when a POS ID is generated for the product's variant(s).
Changing TikTok Categories
You change the assigned category of your items within their individual TikTok Shop Product Page
1. On your TikTok Seller Center, go to "Products" on your left menu and then select "Manage Products" from the dropdown.
2. Click on "Edit" on the item you would like to change.
3. Locate the Category field on the product listing, and click on the category box.
4. You'll see the list of categories and a search box appear, you can either navigate the categories menu or type in a keyword to find all related categories, on the following example we'll type in T-Shit.
5. Once you have selected your new product category, you'll see the following confirmation pop-up, click "Continue" on it.
6. Go back to the top of the product listing and select "Update" on the right upper corner.
7. And that's it! In a few minutes, your SKU IQ product page should be updated to reflect the new product category.
