This article contains information on how to upload your items to TikTok Shop after completing the initial setup wizard.
Overview
It may take a bit too long to load all of your products during the initial setup - this is common if you have hundreds to thousands of products on your Shopify store. It's perfectly reasonable to skip the upload steps in our onboarding setup and move on (especially if you aren't sure what categories to pick for items!).
You can definitely upload products after the initial setup, and this document will tell you how to do so in explicit detail. There are 2 methods for uploading products. You can do so In Bulk* or you can do so for individual products.
💡 Tip: *In Bulk refers to being able to upload 50 products per batch. It may take up to an hour to upload a batch, so you may have to do multiple batches if you have a large inventory you would like to sell on TikTok Shop.

Method 1: Bulk Uploads || Method 2: Individual Products Upload
Method 1: Bulk Uploads
As mentioned in the overview, when you perform bulk uploads to TikTok Shop, the maximum number of items you can send per batch is 50. It may take up to an hour to send all of the data, so please be patient before sending the next batch.
💡Note: SKU IQ will not allow you to send a second batch until the first is complete!
✅ Tip: Before sending products to TikTok Shop, you may want to set your TikTok Shop categories prior to performing a bulk upload. You can set these after the fact if needed by performing a bulk edit of your products on the TikTok Shop Seller Center.
How To Bulk Upload:
1. Navigate to your Products page on your SKU IQ Dashboard2. You will want to use the Filter By drop down menu to select Online Only - this will pull up any products that have not been connected to TikTok Shop yet (the ones that are currently only listed on Shopify).
3. Select the products you would like to upload by either selecting the checkbox at the top of the page (this will select up to 50 products) or by selecting individual items with the checkboxes.
✅ Tip: If you have more than 50 items available to send to TikTok Shop, your inventory will show up in multiple pages.
💡 Note: If you navigate away from this page, or go to the next page of products, it will deselect the items you have selected. Make sure to send your selected products to TikTok Shop before navigating away!
4. You'll notice an Actions button will come up once you have selected at least 1 item.
5. Clicking on the Actions button will give you a drop down option to Push to TikTok Shop
7. You will be prompted to pick categories for all of your items. Check the section on categories for how to do so!
6. It may take a few minutes up to an hour for all 50 products to push to TikTok Shop where TikTok Shop will begin the review process of your items. Depending on the category, reviews can take from a few minutes to 2 business days. Please see TikTok Shop Product Listing Guidelines for Sellers for more information. You will know that the product(s) have successfully uploaded when you see POS IDs on the variants for the items.
Method 2: Individual Product Upload
As mentioned in the overview, you can also push individual products. This is super easy to do, especially if you are wanting to curate your TikTok Shop with a few products rather than all of your Shopify inventory.
✅ Tip: Before sending products to TikTok Shop, you may want to set your TikTok Shop categories prior to performing a bulk upload. You can set these after the fact if needed by performing a bulk edit of your products on the TikTok Shop Seller Center.
How to Upload Individual Products:
1. Navigate to your products page on your SKU IQ dashboard.
2. You will want to use the Filter By drop down menu to select Online Only - this will pull up any products that have not been connected to TikTok Shop yet (the ones that are currently only listed on Shopify).
3. Click the individual product you'd like to send to TikTok Shop.
4. Click the "EDIT BASICS" button at the top so you can add a category to your item. (See below on how to pick categories).
5. Once you have picked a category, click Save Changes button at the top.
6. You'll see toggles on the lefthand side of the page under Where. Toggle TikTok Shop on (so that the toggle is green) and then click Save Changes to start the upload of the product.
4. It may take a few minutes to upload the products themselves. You will know that the upload was successful when a POS ID is generated for the product's variant(s).
Setting TikTok Categories
You can set TikTok Categories for each individual item within their detail page. In order to do so, follow these steps:
1. Go to your Products page on your SKU IQ dashboard.
2. Click on the item you would like to add a category to.
3. Click Edit Basics at the top of the page. This will allow you to edit basic information about the product like the Title, TikTok Category, and Description.
4. Scroll down until you find the TikTok Shop Category. You will need to type in the appropriate category for your product. Failure to put in the right category will result in rejection of your product when it is reviewed by TikTok Shop before launching it.
✅ Note: Here is a list of all of the current TikTok Categories: [click here]
5. Once you have selected a category for your product, scroll back up to the top to click Save Changes.
🌟Tip: Don't want to type out the whole category? (We know this can be cumbersome!) You can use keywords from the categories list to quickly pull up the entire category name and subsections.
For instance, "Pants" would likely fall under "Trousers". Shirts would be under "Blouses" or "T-shirts" depending on if they're for men or women. Children's items are currently restricted and can only be sold by invitation only! So do not select these categories if you are not approved to sell in them (and the item does not qualify for that category).
